What is the Church of Christ?

We are nothing more than a church that belongs to Christ. Our name, "Church of Christ," is just a statement of that fact.

"And He is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything He might have the supremacy." Colossians 1:18

 Since Jesus is the head of our body, we only wear His name. We do not follow the traditions of men. Instead, we follow the Word of God. There is only one true church that Jesus established and built through His death, burial, and resurrection.

"There is one body and one Spirit, just as you are called to one hope when you were called, one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all in all." Ephesians 4:4-6

It DOES make a difference to which church you belong regardless of how sincere you may be. It is possible to join one or more of the false institutions called churches, these denominations of men, today without ever becoming a member of Christ's TRUE church.

"They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men." Matthew 15:9

God WILL up root all other false doctrines!

"He replied, 'Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots.'" Matthew 15:13

Salvation is in the Body of Christ, because Christ is the Savior of the Body. He purchased the church with His own blood.

"Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood." Acts 20:28

Since Christ purchased the church with his own blood, shouldn't He decide how it should operate and be organized? What church should everyone seek to be apart of?
